She Healed Decades of Depression By Trusting the Unknown
“I said, ‘If I have to leave everything behind in my life just to heal and start over, I will do it.’ But there was something in my heart that I trusted.”
For as long as she could remember, Libia had been plagued with sadness. She didn’t want to be sad, but she subconsciously looked for opportunities to feel miserable. Although she worked with several psychologists and coaches, read books, and prayed, nothing seemed to help what Libia called “an emotional disease.”
During a difficult period in her marriage, Libia was introduced to one of Dr Joe’s books – and suddenly, her life clicked. Libia realized her unhappiness wasn’t caused by other people or her environment – it was caused by her own sense of victimhood. She dove into Dr Joe’s teachings and as she learned more, Libia became aware that her body was addicted to the chemicals of sadness.
Libia put the lessons she was learning into practice by making the effort to truly feel happy. And despite the initial discomfort of trying something new, her life started changing completely. After two years of doing the work, Libia felt cured of her “spiritual cancer.” Today, the depression and sadness she experienced for decades is gone.
