Doctors Discussed Amputating His Leg. Now He’s Running Again
In 2022, Rob underwent surgery to revise a 30-year-old knee replacement. A year and a half later, a severe infection led to two emergency surgeries, multiple rounds of IV antibiotics, and eventually a conversation with his surgeon about amputating his leg.
Rob remembers feeling as though his life had ended. But he also felt there had to be another possibility.
Having previously explored Dr Joe Dispenza’s work, Rob returned to it with a new level of commitment. He began meditating multiple times a day, watching Stories of Transformation, creating Kaleidoscope Mind Movies, practicing gratitude, and repeatedly rehearsing a future in which he believed he was already healed.
Then, during a meditation, Rob says he heard something unexpected: “You’re already being healed. That’s not why you’re here.” For Rob, that shifted the question. Instead of focusing only on healing, he began asking: What else is here for me?
Today, Rob says he’s running, jumping, taking escalators, and living scenes he had already rehearsed in his Kaleidoscope Mind Movie. His next intention? Traveling to Egypt and climbing a pyramid.
What began as a determination to keep his leg has become something bigger: the opportunity to discover what he wants to create with the life in front of him.
Recorded at the Dallas Week Long Retreat in May, 2026.
