After 30 Years of Depression, This Changed Everything
Phillip’s deep-rooted depression built over decades, after repeated football concussions and the loss of his father. Eventually, depression consumed nearly half of his life, forcing him to sell his business, straining his marriage, and distancing him from his children.
Phillip had discovered Dr Joe Dispenza’s breathwork practice, but hadn’t known about the retreats or community. He began watching Stories of Transformation, and then started his meditation practice. To his astonishment, a five-month depressive episode lifted in just days. Encouraged, Phillip attended his first Week Long Retreat.
But it was consistency that ultimately made the difference in his life. After another relapse, Phillip committed fully to daily practice, sometimes meditating for hours at a time. Over months, the emotional weight he had lived with for 30 years steadily dissolved.
More than a year later, Phillip says the depression that once defined his life is gone. What remains is stability, clarity, and a nervous system no longer trapped in survival, evidence that sustained mental training can produce lasting change in the brain and body.
