Doctors Said It Never Goes Backward - Until It Did
In 2022, Kevin began losing his words. He knew what he wanted to say but couldn’t say it. Spinal fluid testing revealed elevated beta amyloid proteins, and the diagnosis he feared came back: Alzheimer’s. Doctors told him there was no cure and the best they could do was slow the progression.
Kevin made a decision: “If you decide you have something, you have something. If you decide you don’t, you don’t.”
He committed to daily meditation, breathwork, and eventually attended a Week Long Retreat as a healee.
In February 2023, testing confirmed Alzheimer’s. In May 2024, he asked to retest- something he was told wasn’t done. The new results shifted from absolute Alzheimer’s to borderline. His specialist, who oversees half of Connecticut’s Alzheimer’s cases, said it was the first time she had ever seen it go backwards.
Now, more than two years later, nothing has progressed. In fact, things have improved.
