Defying the Limits of MS Through Self Love
“I’m not constantly thinking about my diagnosis or what’s wrong. So, the problems don’t come up anymore – because I’m not thinking about them.”
When Gueliano was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 23, his neurologist told him he’d be using a wheelchair by the time he turned 30. Gueliano had some familiarity with Dr Joe’s work through his wife – but didn’t become invested himself until they attended their first Week Long Advanced Retreat at the end of 2023.
“I just dove in to the event wholeheartedly and took it all in,” Gueliano told us a year later. “I had my first mystical experience during my second Walking Meditation. And I had the feeling that I truly loved myself for the first time in my life.”
That breakthrough in his inner world began to show in his outer world. As he has continued to experience deep emotional healing, Gueliano has noticed a lack of progression of the disease. He’s no longer giving his attention to symptoms – and, therefore, they’re receiving none of his energy. And, at 31 years old, he’s still walking ... defying the limitations of the prognosis he was given eight years ago.
