A Heart in Full Bloom

At our retreats, my team and I carefully curate all of the audio throughout each event. Music is a powerful and essential part of every meditation that helps you overcome external distractions while helping you tune in to – and amplify – the elevated emotions in your heart.
Years ago, a member of our community introduced our audio team to Mei-lan Maurits – an intuitive vocalist whose mission is to heal and awaken the world through her music. We quickly began using Mei-lan’s ethereal voice during the heart-opening segments of our live meditations, and over the years, it’s become an impactful part of the retreat experience for thousands.
Late last year, I decided to surprise participants at our first ever 10-Day Extended Retreat ... inviting Mei-lan to join me onstage live. We’ve recently released one of those powerful live collaborations: “Changing Boxes – Short Version – Live With Mei-lan in Cancún.”
And now, I’m excited to share the beginning of our second live collaboration – a free, 15-minute heart-opening meditation.
Introducing “A Heart in Full Bloom – Live With Mei-lan in Cancún”
This meditation is designed to give loving attention to your heart, and to nurture it with elevated emotions. When we feel expansive emotions that open our heart – joy, kindness, compassion, inspiration, gratitude, wholeness, and pure love – we elevate ourselves from any limited, pre-programmed conditions, and we connect with our divinity.
Centering and activating our heart takes a lot of practice and patience. Just like a budding flower needs life from the earth and its environment, the heart thrives on the life force of our attention, energy, and elevated emotions.
Wherever you are on this path, it’s important to remember: Everyone has a moment when the heart blooms. It just happens in its own time. So, make time for your heart. Give it your energy. Give it your attention. Nurture it. Be kind to it. Care for it. Listen to it. Be present with it. Relax into it. Stay connected to it. Be patient with it. And fall in love with it.
There’s no limit to the amount of growth and heart opening you can experience. There are countless petals – countless layers of emotion you can feel. When you get to that state of sustained heart coherence, and your heart finally blooms, it’s not the end of the process. It’s just the beginning. You can always open up more. You can always create more. You can always love more.
I hope you enjoy it.
