Leading in Love:
Let’s Walk Again for the World
Dr Joe Dispenza | 10 September 2024
More than half a century ago, an astronaut on the Apollo 11 lunar mission named Michael Collins described his experience of seeing Earth from space. “The thing that really surprised me was that it projected an air of fragility,” he said. “I had a feeling it’s tiny, it’s shiny, it’s beautiful, it’s home, and it’s fragile.”
A couple of years later, another astronaut named Edgar Mitchell described his view of Earth from space as an “explosion of awareness;” an “overwhelming sense of oneness and connectedness ... accompanied by an ecstasy ... an epiphany.”
These men were describing what has since been called the “overview effect” – an awestruck shift in perspective of our home planet, characterized by overwhelming emotion and a transcendent sense of connectedness. That’s a big moment.
From that great distance, things such as countries, borders, territories, races, languages, politics – anything we identify with; anything that separates us – melt away. We can see the Earth in its totality and feel connected to all who dwell here – that is, to all of its life.
This is, essentially, the spirit with which my team and I conceived of Walk the World – an international Walking Meditation meant to bring people together and raise our energy on a global scale.
When we hosted our first Walk for the World late last September, hundreds of thousands of people came together from around the world. We walked in community. We walked in coherence – as one mind and one heart. We walked for hope. We walked for healing. We walked for peace. We walked for change.
We walked in love.
Back then, we thought – now, more than ever, the world needs us. We need to realize that, as a species, we have the power to heal the world – instead of destroy it. We need to elevate the collective. We need to come together to overcome the things that constantly separate us. Separation never can heal.
The idea is: if you change, you change your life … and if enough people change, we change the world.
If anything, this message is even truer now than it was then. The world needs us. And so: it’s time to walk once more – and lead in love.
I hope you’ll join us for the next Walk for the World – Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. EDT. You can find everything you need to know about participating at walkforthe.world.
Change Your Energy. Change the World.
Based on our previous Walk for the World Meditations, our data shows that when we come together and collectively raise our consciousness, we literally can change the Earth’s electromagnetic field.
In our first few global walks, we worked with our friends at HeartMath Institute to measure their impact. I wrote about our findings in a blog titled, “Let’s Walk Again: Walk for the World.”
In that post, you can see the graphs that showed that exact thing: how our collective efforts caused shifts in the Earth’s field – and how the impact grew over time. You can see the measured movement of energy outside the field of normality (best illustrated by the randomness of a coin toss being 50/50) during the exact hour of our global walk.
In other words, we measured what’s possible when people with a shared intention and open hearts come together to change their energy – and change the world.
Recently, my team and I have been sharing another graph from HeartMath Institute – one that shows what’s possible with a really big shift in energy during a collective consciousness meditation.
The red line represents what happens when the group in the room has elevated their energy through heart and brain coherence. The blue sideways “U” (what we call a “parabola”) represents normal/random behavior. Do you see how the red line makes a sharp vertical climb about 14 minutes into the meditation? That means a collective network of observers is causing random (50/50) events to become more orderly.
Now, the information depicted in this graph was not gathered during one of our global Walking Meditations, but it was capturing the effects of a group meditation during one of our Week Long Advanced Retreats. And it shows what’s possible when people come together with coherent hearts and minds – and collectively work to raise their level of consciousness.
And I’m sharing this boundary-breaking example of energetic change with you here because: that’s our target for the next walk.
Without getting into the language of polarity, it’s pretty clear to see the world is in need of a massive shift; an infusion of love big enough to change its trajectory. The graph above shows what’s possible through unifying love, a shared commitment, and a collective vision.
Too often, people don’t participate in efforts to create change because they think their contribution doesn’t make a difference. “I’m just one person,” they think. “I’m not going to do it. It doesn’t matter.”
But that’s not the truth. They matter. Everyone matters. You matter.
You are part of the whole. And that’s why you have to become the change you want to see in the world.
In this work, we see that people who come together as a collective network of observers have the power to change the energy in the field – and, in doing so, they can change matter here in 3D. We’ve seen it countless times in spontaneous healings and breakthroughs at our retreats around the globe. We’ve seen it in the data from our ongoing research – including the largest-ever study on the effects of meditation on biology.
We measured – and saw it – in our first few global Walking Meditations.
And we’re going to do it again. Only this time, let’s go even further.
If you decide to count yourself among the people who are going to show up and walk with us – because your contribution does matter – then you can count yourself among the people showing up for global change.
Experiencing the ‘Overview Effect’ – Here on Earth
Many of my experiences with the mystical or the unknown during meditation have come with the profound message, “There is always more love.” In a sense, you and I have the innate capacity to encounter that “overview effect” in many forms. It’s like pulling the camera way, way back and seeing the totality of our experience through a more conscious lens of connection ... and wholeness ... and unifying love.
When we elevate our consciousness, we raise our awareness. When we raise our awareness, we see and tune in to possibilities we never knew were there before. And if we can become adept at doing that, we can change the energy in the field ... and change our experience of life here on Earth.
That’s why my team and I will be walking on October 12. I hope you’ll join us – and I hope you’ll invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to walk with us, too.
Let’s walk as it – and become the change we want to see in the world.
