Becoming Conscious:
Investing In Your Internal State – Part I
Dr Joe Dispenza | 10 February 2026
Catching yourself from going unconscious in how you think, feel, and behave – over and over again – is what helps you to become conscious. Just one reaction to someone or something can take you back to the familiar emotions of your past. And when you keep feeling those emotions of survival like fear, insecurity, and lack … your body becomes the mind of those emotions. You stay out of homeostasis; stuck in the default conditioning of your past.
If you want something in your life to change … you have to change. It takes an enormous amount of energy to bring your awareness back to the present moment – to disinvest your attention out of that predictable future. But if you keep going, you’ll train your body, feed it new information, and it will begin to settle down. And when it does, a liberation of energy will move into the heart and then into the brain – restoring you to homeostasis, health, and wholeness.
