Shay was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism around that time she watched Dr Joe's "Rewired" series on Gaia TV.  She decided to go ahead with the recommended surgery to remove the dysfunctional thyroid, but Shay also began engaging with the quantum field in daily meditations. Two months later, a very surprised doctor reported that not only had her thyroid grown back, but that it was functional.
