Her Brain Cancer Was a ‘Brilliantly Disguised Opportunity’

“I need to meditate in the morning and again at night. I need to wake up and remind myself of who I am – and who I want to be – and I need to end my day with that same process. I think it's made a huge difference.”

In 2019, Lindsey was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive brain cancer – anaplastic astrocytoma grade 3. Doctors removed 90 percent of the tumor, but told Lindsey there was no cure … and advised her to get the most out of the couple of years she had left.

Lindsey refused to accept there was nothing she could do to help herself. When she learned about Dr Joe from a friend who had healed herself of the same condition, she was inspired. “I knew that was my solution,” she says. “That was my next step.”

As she progressed in her work with Dr Joe, Lindsey went through ups and downs in her healing journey. Finally, after committing to a daily practice, she was struck by a life-changing realization: loving herself was all she needed to heal. And, two months after a powerful experience at a Week Long Advanced Retreat, her next MRI showed the tumor had shrunk. “That was huge,” she says, looking back. “It brought tears to my eyes … but I knew it was going to happen.”
